Supporting Children, Teens & Families

We are a collective of therapists, psychologists, and counsellors who work with children and youth out of a shared space in Squamish, BC. Together, we offer a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, including art therapy, play therapy, sandtray, expressive arts, child psychology, behavioural support, parenting consultation, and sports psychology. United by a common purpose, we support children, youth, parents and caregivers throughout the Sea to Sky corridor. This website serves as a resource hub to help parents and caregivers connect with an experienced therapist that best fits their family and child’s needs.

    Art Therapy

    Art therapy uses creative processes like drawing, painting and sculpting to help people express thoughts and process feelings that may be hard to put into words.

The Space

The therapeutic space is on the second floor, accessible by a staircase. It is warm, airy and inviting, designed for play and art making with calming earth-tones. It includes an ensuite bathroom and a cozy couch area for therapeutic conversations, creating a safe and comfortable environment for reflection and connection.

  • Child and youth counselling provides a supportive, confidential space for children and teens to explore emotions, challenges, and life experiences. Counsellors work collaboratively with young people to build coping skills, emotional awareness, etc. using developmentally appropriate approaches such as talk therapy, play-based interventions, creative expression, and skills-based strategies.

  • Our website features counsellors with a variety of training, experience, and therapeutic approaches. When choosing a counsellor, consider:

    • Your child’s age and specific concerns

    • The counsellor’s areas of focus and experience

    • The terapeutic approaches offered (modalities)

    • Your child’s comfort level with the therapist

    You are welcome to review counsellor profiles and their individual websites to find a good match.

  • You may notice changes in mood, behaviour, sleep, or school engagement, or your child may express feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unhappy. Counselling can also be beneficial for prevention, skill-building, and personal growth. An initial consultation can help determine whether counselling is a good fit.

    • Your child’s age and specific concerns

    • The counsellor’s areas of focus and experience

  • Parent involvement varies depending on the child’s age, needs, and goals. This may include parent sessions, regular updates, or collaborative planning. Counsellors balance caregiver involvement with the child or youth’s right to privacy.

  • Each counsellor has their own areas of expertise, training, and therapeutic style. Therefore, modalities and services will be unique to a therapist’s training and experience. Some may specialize in certain age groups, concerns, or modalities. Please review their individual profiles for specific details.

  • Some extended health plans cover counselling with registered professionals such as Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs), Registered Art Therapists or Psychologists. Coverage varies, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider. If you have coverage through your provider, follow their guide on submitting your receipts for reimbursement. Please check with the individual counsellor/therapist, as several do not offer direct billing.

  • Each therapist has a different level of understanding of neurodiversity and experience with neuroaffirming approaches. Please explore the different counsellor/therapist profiles and websites or ask them during a free 15 min discovery call to learn more about their understanding of neurodiversity and ability to support your child or young person’s needs and goals.
